Does it have cush?
Being all cotton this wrap has some moldability. It is thin but wide and the width layered on my shoulders gave me some cushiness.
How does it feel on your shoulders?
I was comfortable and I did not feel any diggyness with the baby or the toddler on my shoulders.
How does it feel on your shoulders?
I was comfortable and I did not feel any diggyness with the baby or the toddler on my shoulders.
How much diagonal stretch does the wrap have?
There is a little diagonal stretch to this all cotton wrap but the weave is not too stretchy. I did not have any problems with it sagging either.
How supportive did you find it in a single layer carry?
This wrap is supportive in single layer carries. It is wide enough to get a good seat with my toddler in a rucksack and thin enough to bunch the extra wrap with the baby in a rucksack without overwhelming him. The width provided cush on my shoulders and I did not have problems with diggyness or sagging. While not my first choice for a ruck wrap with the toddler, I found it comfortable for the 30 minutes she was up and it is easy to wrap quickly with if you have a toddler that just wants to escape.
How supportive did you find it in a double layer carry?
This wrap is very comfortable in a double layer carry. I did Double Hammock with both the baby and toddler. The passes glide over each other well and they do not slip off after you have them in place. Tightening my DH was quick and simple. This wrap is nice and thin but wide. The width helps with cush on the shoulders and getting a good seat with bigger kiddos, and the thinness keeps the wrap from being too much wrap. The thinness also makes this wrap a great all weather wrap and a multilayer carry in hot temperatures would be comfortable for wearer and wearee. The weave is flat without a lot of texture and does not seem that it would be prone to pull easily.
Can you compare this wrap to another wrap already on the market?
It is very very similar to the wool Diva that I had owned. It is a very soft wrap and just a bit less kitten belly soft as the wool Diva was. This wrap reminds me a lot of my BBSlen Turkish Delight which is also a thin wide wrap.
Who do you think this wrap would best be geared to?
This wrap is easy to wrap with and would be a great wrap for a new wrapper. It is soft, works very good for babies, and it is toddler worthy too. It may be a little wide for a new wrapper with a newborn, but if you fold it down some this is the perfectly soft squishy snuggle wrap. For the more experienced wrapper this is a thin wrap that can handle any child and any weather. With all of the popularity of thicker wraps, thin Diva wraps do not get a lot of chatter, but they are great all around wraps with beautiful patterns that work for all stages of babywearing.
Would you recommend this wrap to a friend? Why? What did you love about it?
Please tell us a little more about yourself:
I am a mom to an energetic toddler girl (3.5 yrs) and a happy baby boy (6 mo). I am a Volunteer Babywearing Educator for BWI of North Central Illinois and have been babywearing since my little girl was 2 months old. I started using woven wraps when she was around 8 months old. We have tried several machine & handwoven wraps since then and have played with different blends too. I have no idea off the top of my head how many wraps I have tried, but I am a serial churner with a good sized stash.
